I'm Mel De Luca
Providing Passionate, Empathic & Empowering support
Helping children and young people navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and develop the confidence to thrive—both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualified & Experienced
Qualified Integrative Counsellor
I have experience working across a range of settings, including schools, colleges, and NHS IAPT services.
With over 10 years of experience working in educational settings, I understand the unique challenges students face and the importance of early intervention.
My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly heard, empowered, and supported on their journey toward reaching their full potential.

Relationships
Creating safe, respectful relationships
I'm passionate about helping people understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships. My commitment to this cause grew from my work as a children's support worker in women's refuges across London and my own personal experiences. I believe it's vital for everyone to have the opportunity to learn about domestic violence and build healthier relationships. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued in their relationships, and I am dedicated to helping create a future where this is the norm.

Professional training & development
Growing knowledge for effective help
I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge, skills, and understanding to ensure that I provide the most effective and up-to-date support for students and clients. Over the years, I have attended a variety of specialised trainings and gained extensive experience in a range of areas, including:
-
Mindfulness
-
Self-Harm & Suicide Ideation

-

Why choose me?
Boosting performance & wellbeing in schools
My work in schools helps increase attendance and focus and takes the pressure off school staff by offering essential support, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities. With waiting lists for external and NHS services often being long and limited, I provide timely, longer-term assistance that ensures individuals get the help they need without delay. My approach goes beyond short-term solutions, offering sustained support that benefits both students and staff in the long run.

A whole school approach
Effective support in schools
I offer a holistic, whole-school approach to supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing. Many schools find that group sessions, such as assemblies and workshops have a wider reach and greater impact on the overall school community.

Here's What People Think About Our Service
Mel listened to everyone and gave everyone a chance to share
Primary Teacher
Mel is a fantastic counsellor whose kind, caring approach has helped so many students. Given their ASC diagnosis, they are often turned away by other mental health professionals, but Mel works closely with our young people to achieve positive outcomes. Mel has helped with a wide range of issues from family, anxiety and gender identity, all with compassion and genuine empathy. Our parents and carers thank her for the difference that she has made.
